system. It is ready to capture natural human face motion
right out of the box. NaturalPoint has built the
Expression Foundation Package so that a single person
can easily operate the system while capturing their own
motion, creating endless possibilities in both the
garage and the studio.
The Expression Foundation Package is perfect for professionals and amateurs working in FaceRobot, MotionBuilder or DAZ Studio.
The easy-to-use ARENA Expression motion capture software lets a single user create advanced motion capture sequences of face movement, work with the data, stream in real-time to popular 3D software, and export industry standard C3D into applications such as FaceRobot, MotionBuilder and DAZ Studio. Built-in support for recording scene audio and video provide valuable feedback and a great tool when editing in post.
With the Expression Foundation Package, individuals now have powerful motion capture tools that used to be considered so expensive they had to be shared or rented.

Recommended Camera Setup
Four cameras are the minimum for face motion capture. Six or more cameras are recommended for improved tracking and optional scene video recording.
The following photo is an example of
a seven-camera desktop setup. The middle camera on the
center tripod is for Scene A/V (recording synchronized
audio and video tracks for each take).
